To me it seems like this query:ĭsquery * "OU=CompanyOU,DC=exchangetest,DC=com" -Filter "(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(|(departmentNumber=1234567)(departmentNumber=8675309)(|(l=Los Angeles)(l=Riverside)(l=Santa Monica)(l=Glendale))) How does the LDAP query know to select the departmentNumber + City and not just City within the same ou? Thats the part that confuses me. since i want to do the following:ġ) Select users in an OU (done by the first part of the query) where the search base is set.Ģ) Select only users who have the DepartmentNumber (as per the ldap query itself so far)ģ) AND select users in within one of the 4 cities. Thanks for the continued assistance with this. Richard Mueller - MVP Enterprise Mobility (Identity and Access) This clause would be And'd with the others. ![]() The LDAP syntax clause would be: (|(l=Los Angeles)(l=Riverside)(l=Santa Monica)(l=Glendale)) The LDAPDisplayName of the attribute is "l" (for location).
